I know it's usually the other way round, but I have a quick legal question relating to a situation I encountered last night.
Bloke phones up and says some fecker has hacked into his Messenger on his computer. The aforementioned fecker has stolen his identity and now mails his mates claiming to be a puff and wanting to ride them! So far he doesn't think anything has been 'stolen' or suchlike. I told him to invest in a Firewall for starters, but I'm keen not to fob him off with the old "not a police matter" fallback position.
Anyone know if there are any offences of hacking that amounts to no more than a nuisance? Fuktifino!
btw , I manged not to laugh once throughout our conversation. Professional or what?
Ted.
